The 2025 SRS Distribution Las Vegas Bowl features the 7-5 Nebraska Cornhuskers and the 10-2 Utah Utes. Here is the 2025 SRS Distribution Las Vegas Bowl Preview.
Nebraska won seven games to make their second-straight bowl game. They defeated two bowl-eligible teams this season: Cincinnati and Northwestern. All five of their losses were to teams that made bowl games: Michigan, Minnesota, USC, Penn State and Iowa.
The Cornhuskers score 29.2 points per game, tying them for 55th in the country. They pass for 228.2 yards (ranked 63rd) and rush for 144.7 yards (ranked 81st) per game.
Dylan Raiola was hurt to end the season and is now in the transfer portal. TJ Lateef filled in at the end of the season, passing for 722 yards, four touchdowns and no interceptions on 62.1 percent completion. Five players have at least 300 receiving yards on the season. Nyziah Hunter, Jacory Barney Jr. and Dane Key have all been solid with 617, 463 and 424 receiving yards respectively.
Emmett Johnson Jr. was a star for the Cornhuskers at running back, but he is opting out of this game. No other player had more than 150 rushing yards on the season. Kwinten Ives will be the next man up after rushing for 119 yards and two touchdowns.
Defensively, the Cornhuskers allow 23 points per game, tying them for 51st in the country. They concede 171.2 rushing yards (ranked 95th) and 141.1 passing yards (ranked second) per game. Javin Wright has the team-high with 83 total tackles. Williams Nwaneri has the team-high with 2.5 sacks. DeShon Singleton has made plays on the ball with four passes defended and two interceptions.
The Utes won 10 games to qualify for their first bowl game since 2023. They defeated three bowl-eligible teams this season: Arizona State, Cincinnati and Kansas State. Both of their losses were to bowl-eligible teams: Texas Tech and BYU.
Utah scores 40.9 points per game, ranking fifth in the country. They pass for 208.8 yards (ranked 89th) and rush for 269.8 yards (ranked second) per game.
