The fantasy baseball championship is coming up, and may even be starting next week for some leagues. Through a long season, keeping up with the waiver wire is important, especially for teams contending for a championship. Here are some players that may be available on the waiver wire in your league that can help for the championship:

Starlin Castro, 2B/3B, Miami Marlins

Garrett Cooper, OF/1B, Miami Marlins

Another Marlin added to the list. Garrett Cooper has also been playing well in September for Miami. The 28-year-old has a slash line of .349/.378/.628 with an OPS of 1.006 through his first 10 games of September. Perhaps the Marlins are not playing under much pressure, and maybe this is contributing to their performance on the field. Cooper can be used at first base or the outfield, so that is another upside for him.

He has an own percentage of about nine in ESPN leagues.

Scott Kingery, SS/OF/3B/2B, Philadelphia Phillies

Hanser Alberto, SS/2B/3B, Baltimore Orioles
