Fantasy baseball playoffs are starting for at least some leagues this week. Whether an owner is in the postseason or a consolation game, getting a win this late in the year can be memorable. Keeping up with the waiver wire is important in fantasy baseball, and that includes during the playoffs. Here are some players that may be on the waiver wire worth adding this week:

Mike Yastrzemski, OF, San Francisco Giants

The 29-year-old Mike Yastrzemski waited quite some time to make his major league debut. The rookie has been having a pretty solid year at the plate, slashing .266/.320/.529 through his first 79 big league games. Yastrzemski will be facing some pretty tough pitching in the Cardinals and Dodgers this week, so that can be something to be weary of.

He hasn’t faced the Dodgers too much this season, but he does have a line of .308/.308/.769 in 13 at-bats so far against them. Yastrzemski has an own percentage of about 23 in ESPN leagues.

Kevin Newman, SS/2B, Pittsburgh Pirates

Mark Canha, OF/1B/DH, Oakland Athletics
