What are the Hearthstone Mercenaries Tribes?

Hearthstone Mercenaries is the latest game mode in the Hearthstone catalog, and players are diving right in to grab some bounties. Because Mercenaries is still pretty young, players are testing out new team compositions to find out what is the best way to grind through levels.

It can be tricky to even figure out where to start in terms of crafting the perfect team, but when in doubt, just pick all of the similar tribes. There are a ton of different tribes to mix and match. Here are the Hearthstone Mercenaries tribes available to players on release.

If there are going to be beasts in a new mode, there is no chance the two kings wouldn’t be a part of it. King Krush and King Mukla headline the beast tribe as a fight and a protector respectively. The interesting addition of Blink Fox as a caster character. Blink Fox acts as a rogue-type character to compliment the more straight-forward beast options.

They are big, they are bad and they are ready to smash through the hordes of weaker tribes. Demons are all about bringing their friends from the portal to do the fighting for them. Rathorian and Lord Jaraxxus lead the charge as they gain more advantages for each other demon on the board. As one might expect, these demons play pretty nicely alongside Orcs.

Fel spells and high stats are on the menu for demons, so get ready to face the Burning Legion head on in Mercenaries.

One of the smaller tribes in the new game mode, dragons are sure to get some more support in later expansions. For now Alexstrasza and Brightwing hold down the fort as the only dragon representatives. There are some other characters that care about dragons, so theres hope yet for these fearsome fliers to take off and become a true tribe.

Don’t look now but the Draenei made it to mercenaries. Well at least two of them did. Both Draenei are casters, so it’s important to remember to build out a well rounded team around them. Xyrella is all support and Velen is all DPS – a match made in heaven.
