offseason took yet another exciting turn on November 4th. The team announced the signing of Gael

Gouzerch, an off-tank star who hails from the

Philadelphia Fusion . He comes to the London Lads after spending his entire OWL career up till now with the Fusion.

Poko first came into the hearts and minds of Overwatch League fans all the way back at the beginning of the inaugural season. Famous for his impeccable Dva play, massive “Poko Bombs” and excellent use of showers among other things. During the 2018 season, he was one of the major factors that led the Fusion on a Grand Finals run.

Which ultimately led to a second-place finish against the team he now joins, the London Spitfire. An ironic twist of fate now sees Poko getting to lead the team that robbed him of a trophy all those years ago.

His time with the Fusion since then was filled with some ups and downs, as in 2020, he had to fight for a starting spot against one of the league’s top tanks in Jun-ho “Fury”

Kim. Which was followed by the terrible Covid-19 pandemic that saw him struggle to be able to physically join the team until the end of the season. Yet despite these struggles, the times he did play he showed no signs of rust or slowing down. In fact quite the opposite, he looked to be in prime form coming into 2021 before being stopped by visa woes. With the Spitfire, he joins a team also seeking a fresh start following a not-great 2021.
