Note: Players will not be ranked in the article.
Delpit follows the long line of NFL-caliber talent that heads down to Baton Rouge and then goes on to the next level and become stars. The highly-recruited player out of Houston is 6-foot-3 and 203 pounds and has a chance to be the highest drafted safety since Jamal Adams.
He was able to break the starting lineup on a very talented LSU team as a freshman. Delpit made an impact with 60 tackles and eight passes defended. As a sophomore in 2018, Delpit was named a unanimous All-American and finished the season with 74 tackles and five interceptions. The expectations are high for Delpit, but he has all the skills necessary to be a top 10 pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.
Jordan Fuller, Ohio State
A four-star prospect out of New Jersey, Fuller decided to go to Ohio State and has seen success over his three seasons at the school. He has a good build at 6-foot-2 and 205 pounds, which is a solid starting point for his future NFL career.
Fuller played in all 13 games as a true freshman, but then started as a sophomore. He responded with 62 tackles and two interceptions. As a leader in his junior season, Fuller stepped up his game even more with 81 total tackles and four passes defended. He has progressed well through his college career and continuing to do so will help him get selected earlier in the draft.
